Mini-update
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a mockup ready for you guys, since mainly I’ve been working on coding. But! Over the past few weeks I’ve been forming the tileset for towns. I am extremely proud of the mockup that came out of it, and it’ll be up on Saturday. YEAHHHH
So what have I been working on?
- Inventory system
- Dialogue system
- Options system
- Revisiting subpixels (yes, AGAIN. will probably spawn a “Adventures in SubPixel Space, Part 3″ post.)
- NPCs (art and code)
- Tile collision system (the old one was crappy and broke down when I reintroduced subpixels; the new one is much cleaner and actually works. We’re talking two scripts instead of ten).
What will I be working on next?
- Fixing game-breaking bugs (combat currently crashes the game, yay!)
- Continuing to introduce NPCs into the game
- Expanding room sizes. This will not only allow for the camera to stretch its limbs and the game to feel a bit more open/breathable, but also allow support for different monitor resolutions.
- Camera tweaks for panning around bigger rooms
