More of a message then a question BUT I love your blog, how much information you have, and the game itself looks pretty awesome too! What inspired me to send you a message though is I wanted to thank you for your flash tutorial - while I am using a system, your comment of turning the character a slight red was SUPER helpful and helped me see why my on flash hits look so odd. So, thank you again!

I try to never use straight white, at least in my pixel art–I think it stands out too much. The very, very light yellow I use for most everything has the added bonus of making it look retro; “white” on a Game Boy Color screen was more like an super light olive/brown-ish color (essentially the color of the screen itself, since the system isn’t backlit).
