**Seni** works hard as the town runner, carrying messages from house to house, and even to the mayor-king himself. She wants nothing more than to restore the noble profession of messenger, but the island is much too dangerous now, and it’s rumored that something terrible happened to the only other major town that once existed. Perhaps somewhat incongruently, she’s good friends with Firula. Seni plays the flute and tries constantly to get Firula to take hard work seriously so they can perform together. Man, talk about a redesign. For one thing, the original was *very close* to a Dragon Warrior sprite. For another, I wanted somebody distinct from Firula–I already had a dress-wearing NPC. I started by giving Seni a different sort of headband (more across her forehead), then, with the idea of giving her better “active” clothing, worked my way to adding a vest. After I was happy with that, I moved the headband back to its original position and did some cleanup. I find that changes like this often inform the personality of the character. Before, Seni might have been a dancer, like Firula. But the headband change (even though it was temporary) put me in the mind of someone much more active.
